Domain NYC’s Hot Mulled Organic Cider

Domain NYC’s Hot Mulled Organic CiderIngredients:
1 gallon of Organic apple cider
1 Orange
1 cup of brown sugar
5 medium sized cinnamon sticks
1 gram of cloves
6 whole star anise
6 whole allspice
1 cheese cloth
1 oz Calvados or spiced rum

Directions:
Pour 1 gallon of organic apple cider into a medium sized stock pot
Stir in the brown sugarScore the orange and place it in the cider

Wrap up the following in a piece of cheese cloth and tie with a string
o   Cloves
o   Star anise
o   Allspice
o   Cinnamon sticks whole

Allow the spices to steep over low heat for one hour
Refrigerate the pot keeping the mulling spices in the cider over night
The next day, remove the mulling spices and oranges from the cider and reheat
Add Calvados or spiced rum to each mug of cider
