There’s no doubt that food adds color to many people’s lives. In fact, 29 million Americans have posted a vibrant food or drink picture at a restaurant.

Throughout the month of October, Glad is challenging foodies, food lovers, and everyone in between to take a stand in the fight against hunger. Think tackling global hunger is biting off more than you can chew? Think again! With tailored marketing activations in the US, Hong Kong and Australia, this global campaign will benefit Free The Children, an international charity and education partner dedicated to improving developing countries.

For every food photo posted to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook in black & white with #GladToShare, Glad will donate $1 to the nonprofit to provide a nutritious meal for a person in need. The online conversation via the hashtag, gallery of black & white images and influencer partnerships will hopefully inspire others to participate and raise awareness around this global issue.

There is more than enough food in the world so that no one ever need go hungry; yet 1/3 of the food produced every year is lost or wasted.
