Dallas hot spot to serve up tamales, tequila and beer on Dec. 25

The Rustic feels your pain. That’s why on Friday, Dec. 25, Uptown’s hottest outdoor concert venue will be open from 6 p.m. until midnight, winding down the holiday with homemade tamales paired with a featured tequila and a heaping helping of “aahhhhh.”
A limited menu featuring three tamale varieties – pork, chicken and vegetarian – accompanied by Salsa Chile de Arbol, will satisfy your hunger. Your thirst will be quenched by the “Rustic Rita,” made with Dulce Vida Organic Tequila, agave nectar and fresh-squeezed lime juice.
Or, help “Drink the Tree” by choosing a ZiegenBock Amber from The Rustic’s original beer bottle Christmas tree, for just $3.
“Nobody loves Christmas more than I do; but by the end of the day, I’ve had my fill of extended family and over-stimulated kids, and I’m ready to get away,” said Kyle Noonan, co-owner of FreeRange Concepts, creator of The Rustic. “We’re providing an oasis at The Rustic to escape, relax and enjoy some delicious tamales and a cold drink or two. Tacky Christmas sweaters are optional.”
Pork, chicken and vegetarian tamales will also be available for purchase by the dozen from Monday, Dec. 21, through Saturday, Dec. 26, at The Rustic. ($30 per dozen includes 6 oz. of Salsa Chile de Arbol. No mixing within each dozen.)
