Globally recognized as a premier destination for luxury shopping and dining, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace will further enhance its culinary offerings with the opening of Water Grill.
Acclaimed as one of the best seafood restaurants in the U.S. with locations in Southern California and Dallas, Water Grill will open its doors in early 2019 in the space previously occupied by Spago.
“Simon is pleased to announce the addition of Water Grill to our world-class mix of chef-driven, highly successful restaurants,” said Vicki Hanor, Simon’s Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Luxury Leasing. “We will be upgrading the former Spago space with a fresher, more relevant, more fun, and less commercial restaurant to please our many diners at Forum Shops.”
“We are thrilled to bring Water Grill’s unparalleled selection of seafood, wine and cocktails to Las Vegas residents and tourists,” says Sam King, CEO and Founder of the Orange County-based King’s Seafood Company. “We look forward to joining the impressive collection of restaurants that make The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace a robust destination in a city filled with world-class dining experiences.”
For more than 30 years, Water Grill has delivered a remarkable dining experience through its devotion to quality seafood and culinary skill. Focusing on first-of-season seafood, Water Grill prides itself in offering a broad selection of finfish, oysters, crustaceans and shellfish to its guests.
The interior design of Water Grill will be crafted by Hatch Design, and will include the signature copper-top bar, reclaimed wood flooring and expansive patio, allowing guests an al fresco dining experience only The Forum Shops can provide. The restaurant will also feature multiple Private Dining spaces for up to 80 guests.
Also opening in early 2019 will be The Slanted Door. With roots in San Francisco’s Mission District, The Slanted Door will open its first location outside of California at The Forum Shops directly on the famous Las Vegas Strip. The 8,200 square-foot, modern Vietnamese restaurant is headed by executive chef/owner Charles Phan.
The Slanted Door, which opened its first restaurant in 1995, uses the finest and freshest local ingredients and Vietnamese cooking techniques to create a menu that has been awarded the exclusive James Beard Outstanding Restaurant award (2014), given to only one restaurant nationally a year.
The Slanted Door and Water Grill join an impressive list of notable restaurants at The Forum Shops including; Il Mulino New York, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, The Otheroom, Planet Hollywood Restaurant and Bar, The Palm – Las Vegas, Sushi Roku, Trevi Italian Restaurant, Carmine’s NYC’s Family Style Italian Restaurant, and The Cheesecake Factory.
