Dillas Quesadillas Announces Joint Venture to Bring 10 Locations to Louisiana

Dillas Quesadillas announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Pete John a prominent restaurateur in Shreveport, to establish the Primeaux Restaurant Group. Primeaux Restaurant Group will be responsible for developing and growing the Dillas brand in Louisiana and East Texas. Plans are already underway for the first of ten locations which will bring an estimated 500 new jobs to the area.

“This is a great step forward for the Dillas brand as we make our market entry into Louisiana,” said Kyle Gordon, founder and owner of Dillas Quesadillas. “We are very excited about bringing something different to Louisiana. Pete has a deep understanding of the foodservice industry which will result in an excellent experience for our guests. We trust the Primeaux Restaurant Group will represent the Dillas brand and its core values in Louisiana.”

Dillas’ first Louisiana location is expected to open in September in Towne Oaks Square Shopping Center located on Pierremont Road in Shreveport (formerly Pie Works). Sale Commercial Properties handled lease negotiations and construction was completed by Karl Rosenblath Construction, LLC. Jason Cram of Vintage Design Group, LLC is leading the design team for the new location.

Dillas Quesadillas is a popular fast-casual restaurant specializing in gourmet quesadillas. The menu features quality, handmade, fresh quesadillas with made-from-scratch sauces and sides. Some twists on the quesadilla include Texas-style smoked brisket, bacon cheeseburger with fries, and a veggie Dilla with zucchini and portobello mushrooms.

Dillas Quesadillas was founded in 2013 and has since established a passionate fan base at both its Plano and Frisco locations. A third location is scheduled to open in July 2018 in Mckinney. Dillas Quesadillas is owned by Kyle Gordon, former managing partner at Raising Canes, and wife Maggie Gordon, granddaughter of Jerry Owens whose family founded Owens Country Sausage.

Pete John previously served as a Managing Partner at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers for twelve years. He is the recipient of several awards including Restaurant of the Year, Restauranteur of the Year for the Louisiana Restaurant Association, and Young Professional of the Year for the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
