Broad Street Licensing Scores Second Tony Roma’s Win in Japan

Broad Street Licensing Group, a world-leading food & beverage brand licensing agency, announced the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to its retailer exclusive with Walmart Japan/Seiyu for client Tony Roma’s: the launch of Tony Roma’s Back Ribs in Kansas City-Style BBQ Sauce. According to Walmart Japan CEO Mitchell Slape, “Seiyu will be adding 2.0 products with Tony Roma’s, which are extremely popular with our customers.”

According to Seiyu, “the new product features the heritage of legendary Kansas City barbecue delivered in a tangy tomato-based sauce with the sweetness of molasses, and a touch of hickory smoke, all balanced with a hint of vinegar and a touch of black pepper.” Unlike the initial frozen products launched October 3, 2018, this new item is chilled and can be easily cooked in about 15 minutes. Walmart is featuring the product as “an authentic testate of American barbecue ribs at home during the Winter holiday season.”
