Moksha Indian Brasserie Opens in Fort Lauderdale

MOKSHA Indian Brasserie, a new Indian restaurant offering a contemporary dining experience, is now open in the heart of Fort Lauderdale at 2823 East Oakland Park Boulevard (just east of Bayview Drive before the Intracoastal). Executive Chef Christopher Corda has crafted a progressive menu featuring close to 70 South Asian selections comprised of traditional flavors with unexpected twists.

“We’re delighted to bring this fresh take on Indian classics to East Fort Lauderdale,” said Rish Karam, owner of MOKSHA Indian Brasserie. “MOKSHA delivers rich, flavorful boutique dishes in a contemporary atmosphere with an attentive staff.”

The 85-seat indoor restaurant features an extensive menu catering to meat, seafood and vegetarian preferences. Food lovers will delight in small and large plates, soups, salads, live fire specialties, breads and unique fruit and floral essence-infused beverages and desserts. Diners will enjoy their culinary experience in an intimate setting with modern glam eclectic influences including chandelier lighting, crisp white walls with royal blue velvet seating and artful accents.

Small plates include Scallops Moilee with poppy seeds, turmeric, ginger and moilee sauce, Badak Kosha with duck, chili vinegar, sesame honey and madras and Pachisa Lamb Chops prepared with yogurt and 25 spices.

The restaurant’s signature specialties include Lassoni Gobi — crisp cauliflower florets with garlic chili and sesame, Old Delhi Butter Chicken with tikka morsels in creamy tomato and fenugreek sauce, Zaffron Lobster prepared with Chablis, saffron and a butter ruction and the MOKSHA Feast with chicken tikka malai kabab, tandoori prawns, tulsi kabab, lambchops, rosemary naan and black lentils. Large plates showcase Rajasthan Hara Musallam — chicken with mint, coriander, caramelized onions, black cardamom and green chilies and Jaipuri Laal Maas — lamb or goat with roasted chilies, garlic, black and white sesame and hung yogurt and Tawa Bhindi Masala comprised of caramelized okra, onions, peepers, pomegranate powder and white spices. Lucknowi Biryani dishes feature a choice of chicken, lamb, goat, prawns or vegetables on long grain Kashmiri rice with aromatic spices, saffron, Kewra, raisins and cashew nuts served with Raitha.

Artisan breads are available as accompaniments while several ales are offered by the bottle and a selection of wines are available by the glass or bottle.
At MOKSHA, even non-alcoholic beverages and desserts are a celebration of flavors. From Kokum Sherbat, a drink made with smoked tamarind, black salt and cumin to Gulab Jamoon, a dessert of dry milk dumplings, rose and saffron to ice cream made with fig, Paan, mango and even charcoal, these inspiring infusions are a feast for the senses.

MOKSHA Indian Brasserie is open Monday through Sunday, daily, for lunch and dinner. Reservations for MOKSHA Indian Brasserie can be made by calling (954) 314-7349 or by visiting opentable.com.
