Thanksgiving Travel Idea: Dine with Chef Mads Refslund in Cabo

Chef Mads Refslund, one of the world’s most acclaimed chefs and initial partners of the groundbreaking Danish restaurant Noma, will celebrate the season of gratitude in Cabo with a limited series of exclusive dining experiences available Thanksgiving week from November 24- 28, 2020. Guests will have the opportunity to have one of the world’s most acclaimed chefs prepare a private dinner in their villas or experience one of his intimate outdoor group dinners. Dedicated to terroir and to food that is sourced locally and sustainably, Chef Refslund will draw on the bounty of the Sea of Cortez and the area’s abundant organic farms to create a unique menu that reflects the distinctive natural flavors of Baja California.

 

Here’s a snapshot of what guests can expect:

 

  • November 24 – 26: guests will have the extraordinary opportunity to have one of the world’s most acclaimed chefs prepare a privately curated villa dinner that can be had nowhere else in the world. In addition, guests will savor wine pairings selected by Master Sommeliers, with a special focus on the Baja Peninsula, also known as Mexico’s Napa Valley. Pricing starts at $5,000 for up to ten guests.
  • November 26: For a Thanksgiving like none other, guests can have Chef Refslund prepare an extraordinary holiday feast for their family on Thursday, November 26.
  • November 27: the oceanfront terrace at Esperanza’s stunning Cocina del Mar will set the stage for guests to be transfixed watching Chef Refslund in the outdoor exhibition kitchen, transforming simple ingredients into visionary dishes. $145++ per person, reservations required. In addition, a special Harvest of the Sea package is available inclusive of daily breakfast, roundtrip airport transfers and seat at the table at Chef Refslund’s dinner at Cocina del Mar.
  • November 28: Refslund will cook over a live fire on the beach at Chileno Bay, using his elemental cooking method to transform the purest of ingredients into a sublime multi-course dinner. $145++ per person, reservations required. A special Gather and Give Thanks package is available inclusive of daily breakfast, roundtrip airport transfers and reservations at Chef Refslund’s beach dinner is also available.
