Executive Chef Peter Sclafani is digging into his vast culinary repertoire to create a series of seafood delights that will be served up over the next five weeks at Ruffino’s on the River in Lafayette and the original Ruffino’s Restaurant in Baton Rouge.

“All Lent long, we’ll be celebrating the best of Louisiana seafood at Ruffino’s,” said Sclafani. “We’re highlighting a different type of seafood each week, but we’ll also be celebrating all the great things that go with the season, including fine wine and champagne, refreshing cocktails, outdoor dining and more.”

Celebrate Seafood this Lenten Season at Ruffino’sFrom March 5th through 11th, the focus will be on shrimp, including several signature recipes found in Sclafani’s new cookbook, Seasons of Louisiana, such Shrimp Scampi, Pasta Pescatore, Crab-Crusted Shrimp and more. Week 2 of the Lenten season will bring Chef Peter’s most popular crawfish dishes, with oysters and crab grabbing the spotlight over the following two weeks. The final week will incorporate a medley of seafood selections drawn from each of the previous weeks’ specialties.

In addition, each Friday, Ruffino’s Seafood Festival will feature three unique entrées and a trio of distinctive appetizers. And don’t miss Sundays, when 1.5-pound live Maine lobsters are just $19.95, including bottomless mimosas for only $11.95.
