Las Vegas, Nev. (June 10, 2015) – This summer, Dutch Bros. will open the doors to its first Las Vegas location at 2840 E. Tropicana Ave.

Dutch Bros. began in 1992 in Grants Pass, Ore. when two brothers, Dane and Travis Boersma, were at a crossroad in life. After, government regulations pressed their family to sell their third-generation dairy farm; the brothers were lost as to what to do.

They met to discuss what their new path would look like. That is when Travis made the pitch to go into the espresso business. Dane was skeptical, but after trying an espresso based vanilla latte, he was sold.

Today, Dutch Bros. is the largest privately held drive-thru coffee. It is a coffee company that promotes giving back as a core value. There are three annual, company-wide giveback days. Dutch Luv Day, in February, which raises food for the hungry. Drink One for Dane, held every May, in honor of late Co-founder Dane Boersma, which raises funds for research into cause and cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and support for families facing the realities of the disease. The third is held in December – Buck for Kids – allows every franchisee to partner with their community and support local children’s organizations.

Dutch Bros. has an up-beat vibe and out-going personality, which makes each stand come to life. Whether it is rocking out to 1980’s or classic rock or jamming to top-40 hits, while making delicious specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas or a private-label Dutch Bros. Blue Rebel™ energy drink, Dutch Bros. does not disappoint. The baristas are not just hyped up on caffeine. Their hype comes from genuinely loving their work, creating relationships and being involved with their communities.

Every Dutch Bros. location is locally owned and operated by people who not only strive to make their surrounding communities and employees better, but also make a killer cup of coffee while providing an experience each customer will remember. Kelli and Cory Nimmer who live by this Dutch Bros. ideal and are excited to bring Las Vegas into the Dutch Bros. family, as the local East Vegas owners.
