National Margarita Day Feb. 22: DIY Cocktails

Need a winter pick-me-up from the cold weather blues? You’re in luck – National Margarita Day is just around the corner.

National Margarita Day Feb. 22: DIY CocktailsThe Margarita leads the way as the most sold cocktail across the country and as it turns out, the U.S. celebrates the stereotypically-warm weather drink February 22. If you’re opting to stay in and try your hand at crafting a few cocktails, Tequila Herradura has just the recipes and pro-tips to make any day, margarita day.

Perhaps the most famous tequila-based cocktail, the margarita traditionally takes three specific ingredients in order to be classified as such: tequila, agave and lime juice.  The drink can be made with several different categories – ranging from a lighter Silver expression to a darker Añejo. And despite the notion that margaritas – and even tequila, at large – are saved for spring and summer, there are several margarita recipes suitable for sipping this season as well!
