Juniper gives gin its distinctive flavor and an impressive ability to ward off colds and flu. Fresh-pressed apple juice offers a nutritional edge over commercial pasteurized juices–and supports local agriculture.

* 1 oz. lemon juice
* 1 oz. Gizdich Ranch or other locally sourced, fresh-pressed apple juice
* 1 oz. simple syrup

Add all ingredients, except for the cinnamon stick, to cocktail shaker. Fill with ice. Shake and strain into a bucket glass. Top with fresh ice and garnish with cinnamon stick. For a more aromatic holiday treat, toast the cinnamon stick in a 200-degree oven for three to five minutes to release its fragrance.
