All’Antico Vinaio, the world-famous Florentine sandwich shop celebrated for its authentic Tuscan flavors and signature schiacciata bread, is set to open two new locations in the vibrant city of Nashville on May 22, 2025. Located in the lively Midtown neighborhood just steps from Vanderbilt University, and in the rapidly growing Gulch South area near Music City Center, this marks the brand’s continued rapid expansion across the U.S. – and its first foray into the Southeast – introducing its iconic Italian sandwich experience to the heart of Tennessee. In celebration of these openings, each shop will be offering one free sandwich per customer, for the first 100 customers.
“Nashville is a city full of passion, creativity, and a deep love for great food – it’s exactly the kind of city that speaks our language,” said Tommaso “Tommy” Mazzanti, second-generation owner and visionary behind All’Antico Vinaio’s global expansion. “We’re beyond excited to finally bring a taste of Florence to Music City and welcome Nashvillians into the world of authentic schiacciata, unforgettable flavors, and the signature hospitality that’s at the heart of everything we do.”
Founded in Florence in 1991 by the Mazzanti family, All’Antico Vinaio has evolved into an international sensation, earning acclaim from food critics and travelers alike as one of the best street food experiences in the world. Renowned for its freshly made schiacciata bread and commitment to premium Italian ingredients, All’Antico Vinaio has redefined the sandwich experience. Every sandwich is a masterpiece of authentic Italian flavors, featuring creamy Pecorino and truffle spreads, savory Prosciutto Toscano, artichoke cream, Mortadella with Pistachio Cream and more.
The Nashville locations—at 1915 Broadway and 622 8th Avenue South—mark the brand’s 9th and 10th outposts in the U.S., following openings in New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles over the past few years. Visitors can expect a menu of beloved classics, including signatures such as L’Inferno (with porchetta, nduja cream, grilled vegetables, and arugula), La Favolosa (with salame toscana, pecorino cream, artichoke cream, and spicy eggplant), and La Toscana (with salame toscana, pecorino toscano, and truffle honey), alongside a new special exclusive to the Nashville locations that celebrates the city’s beloved flavors and vibrant culinary scene. Inspired by the iconic Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, the “Italian Hot” will include turkey, provolone piccante, nduja, calabrian hot honey and arugula.
