Veteran Executive to Spearhead U.S. Growth and Site Strategy
JULY 9, 2025 – Wagamama, the globally loved modern Asian restaurant brand with over 200 locations worldwide, has announced the appointment of Suk Singh as Chief Development Officer of Wagamama USA. With more than 25 years of executive-level experience in real estate development, asset management, franchising, and global growth, Singh will now lead the charge in Wagamama’s U.S. expansion and long-term site strategy.
This announcement comes on the heels of Stephen Judge’s recent appointment as CEO of Wagamama USA, further reinforcing the brand’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and expanding its footprint across the country. Wagamama, which first launched in London in 1992, currently operates seven full-service U.S. locations in New York, Boston, Virginia, and Florida.

A Proven Leader in Restaurant Development
Singh brings a prestigious career history to Wagamama, including executive roles with some of the industry’s most recognizable names:
- EVP & Chief Development Officer at Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLMN)
- Chief Development Officer at Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI)
- Vice President of Development & Franchising, North America at Burger King Corporation (NYSE: QSR)
He has also served as a Board Trustee at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), further cementing his status as a leader in restaurant development strategy.
In his previous roles, Singh played a key part in the creation and market launch of new restaurant concepts, as well as overseeing multi-unit growth for iconic brands including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Red Lobster, and Aussie Grill. His strategic partnership building, real estate expertise, and operational planning will be crucial to accelerating Wagamama USA’s growth in key urban and suburban markets.
