Get Started
Prepare your two 1/4 lb patties of 80/20 ground beef. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Cook the Patties
Cook your patties to your liking, grilling, pan-frying, or broiling. Aim for a slightly crispy exterior.
Assemble the Burger
Toast your bun. Spread Thousand Island dressing on both halves of the bun. Lay the first patty on the bottom bun. Layer with two slices of American cheese, then the second patty. Add more cheese on top of the second patty. Add the tomato, onion, lettuce and pickles. Top with the other bun half.
