WELCOMES ROBERTO RIVEROS LEYTON AS EXECUTIVE CHEF
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (November 12, 2025) – The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara announces the appointment of Roberto Riveros Leyton as its new Executive Chef. Situated on 78 acres of Pacific coastline, the award-winning resort continues to strengthen its culinary identity with this strategic leadership addition.
With more than 20 years of international experience and deep roots within The Ritz-Carlton brand, Chef Roberto will oversee all culinary operations, including the resort’s newly unveiled signature dining concept, Lulio, along with O’Bar & Terrace, Mission Market, and SunBar.
“Our culinary story is central to how we connect with locals and guests,” said Bradley Cance, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Bacara. “Chef Roberto’s global expertise and creativity will guide the evolution of our dining experiences during our 25th anniversary and following our recent renovations.”
Chef Roberto most recently served as Multi-Property Executive Chef for The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya and The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai. His career with The Ritz-Carlton, spanning from San Francisco to Hong Kong and Barcelona, includes earning three Michelin stars with his team demonstrating his dedication to artistry, technique, and excellence.
“My goal is to design cuisine rooted in global inspiration and local authenticity,” said Chef Roberto Riveros Leyton. “Returning to California, I’m excited to work with the region’s exceptional produce and continue building on the resort’s rich culinary heritage.”
