Now open at 725 South Harbour Island Boulevard inside Tampa, Florida’s newly renovated Westin Tampa Waterside, Blue Harbour is the newest restaurant and bar concept to splash into town. The relaxed yet refined restaurant features a menu inspired by the sea with simple dishes flawlessly executed, and a top-notch beverage program offering a premium array of cocktails.
Inspired by the Sea
Executive Chef Tony Van Hang’s menu at Blue Harbour reflects Florida’s coastal-cool energy and his passion for quality ingredients. Using seasonal and local produce, as well as sustainable seafood practices, Blue Harbour’s dinner menu highlights include Florida Bouillabaisse with seafood, fennel, saffron broth and rouille; and Gulf Black Grouper served with sweet pea risotto and roasted mushrooms. The lunch menu at Blue Harbour features elevated soups, salads and sandwiches inspired by the sea. Menu highlights include Grilled Gulf Shrimp + Grapefruit Salad made with frisée, baby arugula, avocado, fennel, local goat cheese and candied pecans; Maine Lobster Roll topped with cole slaw and shredded lettuce on a griddle brioche bun; and Oyster Po Boy served with smoked jalapeno aioli, avocado, shredded lettuce and tomato.
Shaken and Stirred
Head Bartender William Frost’s beverage program at Blue Harbour features contemporary interpretations and inspired twists on time honored cocktails. Handcrafted beverages include the Watermelon “Martini” made with botanical gin, Martini & Rossi Dry Vermouth, pureed watermelon and lemon zest; and the White Sangria with pinot grigio, white peach puree, peach schnapps and a playfully immersed strawberry peach popsicle.
Blue Harbour offers a daily happy hour from 4-7 p.m. that features small bites and classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned ($7), Moscow Mule ($5) and Aperol Spritz ($5).
Everything Old Is New Again
Set in the newly renovated Westin Tampa Waterside, Blue Harbour blends old and new with interiors designed by Toronto-based Moncur Design Associates. The structure includes an expansive open concept dining room with intimate seating areas scattered throughout. The forty-six-foot-long bar spans the entire width of the open space, the face of which is carved wood and the bar top is man-made quartz. The long bar provides ample seating for guests looking to indulge in one of Blue Harbour’s premium cocktails. Other design features include wood floors and a thirteen-foot-high vaulted ceiling, finished with a wood trellis detail, to define the seating area. All the elements combine to provide a warm and vibrant backdrop for Blue Harbour’s relaxed yet refined menu. The restaurant seats up to 64 guests with reservations available via OpenTable; walk-ins are encouraged.
