Epson Enhances TrueOrder™ Kitchen Display System (KDS) to Streamline Restaurant Operations Across Locations and Order Types
Latest software release introduces order-type management, advanced customization, and smarter workflow controls for restaurant efficiency
LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – October 23, 2025 – Epson, a global leader in technology solutions for foodservice and retail, today announced significant updates to its TrueOrder™ Kitchen Display System (KDS) — a powerful and affordable platform designed to simplify restaurant operations and improve kitchen communication.
The latest version introduces order-type filtering, enhanced item labeling customization, and automated QR code generation, empowering restaurants to manage dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders more efficiently than ever.
Optimized for Multi-Location and Multi-Channel Operations
Restaurants today are managing more channels than ever — dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering. Epson’s newest KDS update gives operators greater visibility and control across every order type, allowing smoother coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
“With the new order filtering and print layout customization features, we can unlock considerable efficiency gains,” said Danielle Elias, VP of Business Operations at Pizza Nova, which operates over 150 locations across Ontario, Canada. “The Epson team has been incredibly responsive and hands-on. We love the solution so far and are looking forward to expanding it across many more locations.”
Key New Features and Benefits
- Order Filtering:
Streamlines operations by allowing restaurants to filter and prioritize order types (dine-in, to-go, delivery, catering, or deferred orders) for faster and more organized kitchen workflows. - Advanced Customization:
Enables bump-and-print layouts for labeling cups, boxes, and bags with clear item details, improving order accuracy and customer satisfaction. - Automated QR Code Generator:
Simplifies tracking and handoff by automatically creating unique QR codes on order tickets and labels.
“This latest release gives restaurants more control and efficiency, helping them streamline operations across multiple order types and locations while improving communication with staff, customers, and delivery drivers,” said Tessa Kohl, Product Manager, Epson America, Inc. “Developed in close coordination with restaurant leaders, this is a major leap forward for the KDS solution.”
