The NoMa district has continued to expand with more restaurants, stores and even an upcoming beer garden. The growth of the historic Union Market, an authentic artisanal marketplace, gives hotel guests a place to meet and mingle with locals. The year round indoor market features 40 local artists, food vendors, live entrainment and so much more and is just steps from the Hyatt Place.

The Hyatt Place team is proud to be an active member of this growing community. Representatives from the have hotel taken leadership roles in various neighborhood initiatives and local boards such as the NoMa Business Development District. “We feel it’s crucial to be an active member of the local community,” said Cimei. The hotel has given back to local charities to help with their fund raisers, participated in various ALS Ice Bucket Challenge donations and with its local Crescent operated hotels, helped collect over 1,300 toys for local kids by partnering with Toys For Tots.

As the hotel starts its second year in NoMa, the team looks forward to continuing to be a leader and good neighbor in its new found home.
