Kraft Foodservice Brands Celebrate World Food Championships Winning Recipes

Kraft Foodservice is thrilled to be a part of the top-five winning recipes in the World Food Championship Final Table competition. Recipes showcasing A.1. Steak Sauce and GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard took first and second places, while a PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese–inspired recipe came in at fifth place.

Over the course of three days, hundreds of competitors were narrowed down to seven final contestants who competed for the title of World Food Champion in the Final Table competition. None stood out more than Robert Butler, chef of Café Ile Saint Louis at Paris Las Vegas, who won first place and was crowned World Food Champion for his $50,000 award-winning Sweet and Cheesy BBQ Pork Sandwich made with GREY POUPON Country Dijon Mustard.

Additional Final Table World Food Champions:

  •  2nd Place — World Burger Champion Jason Stucki, from Salt Lake City’s Lucky 13, was awarded $10,000 for his unique              Cajun Bacon Candy Burger with A.1. Steak Sauce and caramelized onions
  •  5th Place — Side-Dish Champion Linda Bonwill won $2,500 for her Broccoli and Roasted Cauliflower Cheese Soup made with PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese

Steak Sauce, GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard and PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese were title sponsors at the World Food Championship, which was held from Thursday, November 1 to Sunday, November 4 at Bally’s Las Vegas. This was the first year of the World Food Championship, which featured classic American cuisine in the following categories: barbecue, chili, burgers, sandwiches, side dishes, a World Recipe Championship and a World Chef Challenge.
