Mandarin Oriental Hotels Offer New Culinary Packages in Geneva and TokyoWith summer just around the corner, Mandarin Oriental, Geneva announces a new seasonal dining concept with its pop-up restaurant, La Riviera by Mandarin Oriental. Following the success of its authentic Swiss chalet experience at the hotel’s Café Calla this winter, the restaurant will completely transform itself into a lively Côte d’Azur restaurant from 16 May to 30 September 2016.

La Riviera by Mandarin Oriental will offer authentic South of France specialties from seafood to sunny vegetables, complemented by Provence herbs and served with a touch of modernity, in a relaxed summer ambiance along the River Rhone in the very heart of Geneva. Menu highlights will include Pissaladière, petits farcis, Bouillabaisse and Pastis flambé king prawns along with many other culinary delights from chefs Nasser Jeffane and Yoann Le Bihan., all complemented by an excellent selection of Provençale wines, including a wide choice of rosé.

As the hotel’s Executive Chef, Yoann developed his culinary expertise with the masters of the Provençal gastronomy; two Michelin starred Chefs Christian Willer from Hôtel Martinez and Bruno Oger from Hôtel Majestic, both in Cannes.Mandarin Oriental Hotels Offer New Culinary Packages in Geneva and Tokyo

Decorated in elegant white and beige tones, the restaurant will offer a real touch of Provence with lush olive trees and colourful, creative artworks by Paulin Nikolli, a local Nice artist. The restaurant will be complemented by a lovely riverside Parisian-style terrace.

Until the end of September, La Riviera by Mandarin Oriental will be open every day for lunch from 12 to 2.30pm and for dinner from 7 to 10.30pm. Reservations are recommended.

About Paulin Nikolli
Originally from Albania, Paulin has lived and worked for many years in Nice, on the French Côte d’Azur. His artworks are recognized as part of the “art brut” category. In October 2009, he took part in the “Ecole de Nice” auction, where his artworks were amongst those of other prestigious artists such as Arman, Ben, César, Klein or Sosno. In 2014, Paulin Nikolli becomes the most famous Nice artists thanks to a New York Times television coverage with an audience of 32 million viewers. Since then, Paulin is recognized internationally for his unique and very colourful creations. While keeping a strong Nice influence, his artworks are promoted on a worldwide basis.

This package includes delectable fine French cuisine paired with exquisite ceramics inspired by legendary epicure, Kitaoji Rosanjin. Chef de Cuisine of Signature, Nicolas Boujéma, references Rosanjin’s philosophy, “Great cooking depends on bringing out the natural flavours of superior ingredients”. The eight-course LA TABLE DE ROSANJIN dinner prepared by Chef Nicolas is inspired by the rich culinary culture of Japan, using the freshest seasonal ingredients. Each dish is carefully presented in beautiful ceramics handcrafted by Japanese ceramicists inspired by Rosanjin. The dinner is paired with five drinks including three Japanese wines, a sake, and a mocktail, carefully selected by our Chef Sommelier and all served in Baccarat crystal glasses. This exclusive Art of Dining experience promises to be a feast for all the senses and is a must-try for gourmets.

LA TABLE DE ROSANJIN package includes:

  • One-night accommodation for two in the Mandarin Grand Room or Suite;
  • Eight-course LA TABLE DE ROSANJIN dinner paired with five drinks at Michelin-starred French fine-dining restaurant, Signature;
  • Breakfast for two at K’shiki or Oriental Lounge.
