Miami Based Kilgore Culinary Appoints Corporate Chef

Chef Brad Kilgore and Kilgore Culinary are thrilled to announce chef Jeff Maxfield as the new Corporate Chefof Kilgore Culinary. The Michigan native worked began working in the front of house, until he had the opportunity to fill in for an absent chef and never looked back. Some of his career highlights include graduating from The Culinary Institute of America working under Chef John Besh and becoming Executive Chef Toscana Divino. Shortly after meeting chef Kilgore, Jeff then led the Kitchen BRAVA by Brad Kilgore and quickly become Chef-de-Cuisine at critically-acclaimed Alter. Follow along on his journey @rarepieceofmeat.

Kilgore Culinary is a South Florida-based hospitality group founded by celebrated chef Bradley Kilgore. Alter, an American restaurant located in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, was the first restaurant in Kilgore Culinary’s portfolio opening in the summer of 2015. In 2016, Alter was named a semifinalist in the Best New Restaurants category of the prestigious James Beard Awards and earned Kilgore Best New Chef nominations two years in a row. At the end of 2018, Kilgore and his team expanded the Kilgore Culinary brand to Miami’s Design District with Kaido, a sleek Tokyo-style drinking den, which was joined by another concept, Ember, a wood-fired American bistro, in May 2019. Chef Kilgore is also the Brad is also the Culinary Director of Brava at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
