Raise a Stein to the Samuel Adams’ Octoberfest BurgerGuests Can Warm Up This Fall with Authentic Samuel Adams OctoberFest Schnitzel Burger and Samuel Adams OctoberFest Beer Pairing

ORLANDO, Fla., September 22, 2015 – Hard Rock is bringing Munich’s favorite tradition to the States, with a brand new burger and beer pairing that pays homage to the biggest fall celebration – Oktoberfest! The Samuel Adams OctoberFest Schnitzel Burger, an authentic menu offering straight from Germany, will be perfectly paired with Samuel Adams OctoberFest beer and available at cafes around the nation beginning on Tuesday, September 22 through Saturday, October 31, 2015.

As a global brand, Hard Rock has the unique capability to pull inspiration and ingredients from its local cafes around the world. The limited-edition Samuel Adams OctoberFest Schnitzel Burger was inspired by Hard Rock Cafe Munich’s Local Legendary Schnitzel Burger* and features a lightly breaded tender pork schnitzel, Samuel Adams OctoberFest-infused beer cheese sauce, topped with smoked bacon, tangy sauerkraut, whole grain mustard and fresh arugula, served on a pretzel bun. The Samuel Adams OctoberFest Schnitzel Burger and Samuel Adams OctoberFest beer will be served with Hard Rock’s seasoned fries and a side of Samuel Adams OctoberFest-infused beer cheese.

“Hard Rock and Sam Adams worked together to create a burger and beer pairing that pays tribute to the original Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich, while perfectly capturing the flavors of fall,” said Darryl Mickler, Senior Director of Research and Development at Hard Rock International. “The rich and sweet flavors of Samuel Adams OctoberFest pair well with the pork schnitzel, while the beer-infused cheese works to balance the nuanced notes of the brew.”

The new OctoberFest burger and beer pairing capitalizes on German-inspired flavors for fall that balance the deep and smooth malt finish of the beer. The duet is an extension of Hard Rock’s year-long line of burger and beer pairings, following the successful launch of the Rebel Legendary™ Burger and the Goose Island Tropical Bacon Burger earlier this year.

“We have been brewing our fall seasonal beer, Samuel Adams OctoberFest, for more than twenty five years,” said Jim Koch, Brewer and Founder of Samuel Adams. “When Hard Rock Cafe came to us with the opportunity to bring this fall favorite to a new level, we were ecstatic. What resulted is an authentic and captivating dish that guests will only be able to find at Hard Rock.”

The Samuel Adams OctoberFest Schnitzel Burger and beer pairing is available at cafe locations nationwide through Saturday, October 31, 2015. Guests can stop by Hard Rock Cafe to try out the latest items or visit www.hardrock.com for more information.

* Each cafe is given the freedom to create a unique Local Legendary Burger that captures the local flavors of their city and is only available at that cafe location.

About Samuel Adams and the Boston Beer Company

The Boston Beer Company began in 1984 with a generations-old family recipe that Founder and Brewer Jim Koch uncovered in his father’s attic. Inspired and unafraid to challenge conventional thinking about beer, Jim brought the recipe to life in his kitchen. Pleased with the results of his work, Jim decided to sample his beer with bars in Boston in the hopes that drinkers would appreciate the complex, full-flavored beer he brewed fresh in America. That beer was aptly named Samuel Adams Boston Lager, in recognition of one of our nation’s great founding fathers, a man of independent mind and spirit. Little did Jim know at the time, Samuel Adams Boston Lager would soon become a catalyst of the American craft beer revolution.

Today, The Boston Beer Company brews more than 60 styles of beer. It relentlessly pursues the development of new styles and the perfection of classic beers by searching the world for the finest ingredients. Using the traditional four vessel brewing process, the Company often takes extra steps like dry-hopping, barrel-aging and a secondary fermentation known as krausening. The Company has also pioneered another revolution, the ‘extreme beer’ movement, where it seeks to challenge drinker’s perceptions of what beer can be. The Boston Beer Company has been committed to elevating the image of American craft beer by entering festivals and competitions around the globe, and is one of world’s most awarded breweries at international beer competitions. As an independent company, brewing quality beer remains its primary focus. Although Samuel Adams beer is America’s leading craft beer, it accounts for only one percent of the U.S. beer market. The Boston Beer Company will continue its independently-minded quest to brew great beer and to advocate for the growth of craft beer across America.
