Casey’s Pond in Steamboat Springs Embraces Fresh Food Dining Solutions
BOSTON, MASS (July 2, 2015) — An award-winning, progressive senior living campus in Steamboat Springs, Colorado has tapped Unidine Corporation to manage culinary services, marking the 23rd state for the growing Boston-based company. Casey’s Pond opened in 2013 as the first continuing care retirement community in a rural mountain resort market and is already recognized as one of the best in Colorado by U.S. News & World Report.
According to Dan Shields, chief executive director at Casey’s Pond, Unidine was chosen based on the company’s commitment to cooking from scratch and locally sourced fresh ingredients, as well as a focus wellness and innovative nutrition programs. “Unidine elevates our culinary offerings for our residents in all of our living environments with exciting menus and great attention to those with special dietary needs,” Shields explained.
The culinary team at Casey’s Pond is led by Chef Charles Fleischman, who brings over 30 years of award-winning culinary experience in the fine dining, hotels and dining management services. Recently Fleischman achieved the highest level of resident satisfaction attainable while working for a senior living community in Denver. He was also Executive Chef for Lockheed Martin in Denver and General Manager for Denver Salad Company.
