Balance Hospitality Group Brings Blu Ember to Flushing

QUEENS, NEW YORK – JULY 9, 2025 – Blu Ember, a vibrant new culinary destination by Balance Hospitality Group (BHG), has officially opened inside the Westin Flushing LaGuardia Airport, marking the group’s exciting debut in Flushing, Queens.

With a globally inspired, Asian-influenced menu that blends Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, and American culinary traditions, Blu Ember celebrates the rich cultural landscape of Queens while introducing a dining experience unlike any other in the neighborhood.

It follows BHG’s success with acclaimed concepts like Hinoki and Moli in Greenwich, CT, and Blu on the Hudson in Weehawken, NJ.

Blu Ember features multiple unique spaces, including a 12-seat raw bar, vibrant cocktail lounge, open-air patio, and a sleek, contemporary main dining room.

The kitchen is helmed by Chef De Cuisine Alberto Reyes, known for his work at Blu on the Hudson, Catch Steak, and Angelina Paris USA, bringing over two decades of culinary expertise to this new venture.

The Fuji Spring
A refined martini-inspired cocktail with peach notes, served chilled with frozen grapes and a smoky, tableside presentation.

Alhambra of The Sea
A bold blend of rose black tea–infused whiskey, pineapple rum, and PX sherry, finished with hibiscus and green apple. Served with buttered and peppered corn.

Raw Bar Selections
An array of oysters, sushi, shrimp, caviar, and more—ideal as starters or a seafood-forward main.

Korean Lettuce Wraps
Australian wagyu beef bacon in a homemade Korean marinade, maple syrup, and Sichuan peppercorn, served with fresh lettuce, shiso, kimchi mushrooms, jalapeños, gochujang sauce, and Asian pear.

Grilled Branzino
Served with Chaoshan-style raw marinade, shredded chili peppers, micro cilantro, and lime for bold, balanced flavors.
