Culinary & Cocktail Secrets Waiting to be Discovered: Secret Menu Items at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

The iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach has maintained a well-earned reputation as one of the region’s foremost destinations for food & beverage par excellence. Whether it’s bubbly poolside at La Cote, steakhouse sophistication at StripSteak by Michael Mina, Italian supremacy at Scarpetta or cocktails at Bleau Bar, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s culinary and cocktail outlets are well known and well regarded. What has been unknown is that many of the hotel’s herald F&B outlets have served secret menu items, a bevy of off-the-menu temptations well-worth sussing out. Now, the hotel is pulling back the curtain to share these secret sensations; the only hook is you still have to ask for them.

This resort-wide program was developed by Director of Food and Beverage Valentin Mihal. With more than 15 years of experience at upscale properties throughout South Florida, Las Vegas and beyond – unique menu concepts are nothing new for the hospitality professional. Mihal brought the initiative to the property not only for guests to enjoy, but to challenge his team. “The secret menu concept encouraged our talented team members to think outside the box and stretch their muscles creatively. It gave an opportunity for team members from the kitchen and behind the bar to come together and collaborate for an exciting program we think our guests will love,” says Mihal.

Each outlet’s offering reflects its aesthetics, atmosphere and concept. Priced at $32, the following are available and can be ordered by asking for the “secret menu” item.

Glow Bar: Nothing says “Tropical Paradise” more than pineapples and Tequila. Sip this specialty margarita out of  a pineapple while enjoying the sights at the hotel’s iconic poolscape. Topped with cayenne pepper, it’ll add the perfect spice to a cool poolside breeze.

Bleau Bar: The “electric dust” on this Clase Azul Plata cocktail will charge your tastebuds. Along with passion fruit, strawberry purée, and hellfire habanero shrub, this cocktail adds a fresh spin to a classic Mexican spirit.

La Côte: This drink is what happens when an oceanside bistro meets a butterfly garden. This Belvedere-based cocktail infused with blackberry and lemongrass, combined with butterfly pea tea, rosemary, citrus and more, is a perfect sip and comes paired with spiced crispy chickpeas.

Arkadia Grill: Beneath a smoke encapsulated bubble awaits the refreshing “Apple of Envy” cocktail featuring Angel’s Envy Bourbon, a hint of apple, and brown sugar. Evoking memories of perfect backyard barbecues, it is served with a dry-aged steak burger slider.

StripSteak by Michael Mina: Inspired by the classics and influenced by Miami, the “Their Way” cocktail includes Grey Goose vodka, passion fruit, and a touch of spice. Served with a chilled shrimp and lemon vinaigrette dusted with togarashi, this combination will dance across your palette with the style and sophistication of the Rat Pack that inspired it..

Scarpetta: This amaretto and bourbon “Godfather” cocktail is simple and seductive. Paired with a perfect ravioli, it’s an offer you can’t refuse.

Hakkasan: Enjoy a whiskey experience like no other with this Macallan 12 smoked Old Fashioned. Served on a sherry wood oak slab, the beverage is paired with a crispy rice shrimp with tangerine sauce.
