Starting on April 17, Little Torch will host its inaugural vinyl residency titled The Hand Off. This event will feature renowned Miami-based DJ Pressure Point and globally recognized DJ Stretch Armstrong, spinning vinyl records exclusively.
The Hand Off aims to celebrate the rich heritage of DJ culture while introducing a fresh perspective to South Beach nightlife. The residency follows a unique mentor-mentee format, pairing established DJs with emerging talent to create an engaging musical narrative.

Max Pierre, the Director of Nightlife & Culture at The Shelborne By Proper, emphasizes that The Hand Off is more than just a party; it’s a cultural platform fostering community and dialogue. “With a focus on authenticity, mentorship, and elevated presentation, The Hand Off positions itself as a new standard for DJ residencies—one that values legacy as much as innovation,” says Pierre.
Each quarter culminates in a special finale event, along with limited-edition merchandise, reinforcing the uniqueness of the residency.

Little Torch is designed by the award-winning ADC Atelier & Tuneu, creating a cozy atmosphere for up to 65 guests. The interior pays homage to Miami’s vibrant culture and Art Deco heritage, while modern tropical influences offer an inviting backdrop for an evening out.
The audiovisual experience is equally impressive, featuring state-of-the-art sound systems from Infinite Audio Systems Miami. This ensures that every note from the vinyl records is heard with clarity and precision, perfect for an intimate setting.
