Don Sebastiani & Sons Enters New Era; Retiring COO, Tom Hawkins Passes the Torch to Omar Percich

Current Don Sebastiani & Sons CFO, Omar Percich, is being promoted to Chief Operating  Officer of Don Sebastiani & Sons, effective immediately.

Omar Percich, is taking over the position from current COO, Tom Hawkins, who is retiring at the end of the year. Tom has been with Don Sebastiani & Sons for the past 10 years and has been a tremendous force in the growth and success of the company. Prior to his tenure with Don Sebastiani & Sons, Tom was with Beam Global Spirits & Wine for over 26 years.

“We are thrilled to see Omar move forward in his career here at Don Sebastiani & Sons,” said President, Donny Sebastiani. “It is important to our family to strive to promote from within and we are lucky to have such a team of bright and energetic employees. It is also fortunate that Omar has been able to work directly with Tom to make this a seamless transition. We are very grateful to Tom and for the years of hard work he has put into our company and wish him well in his retirement,” he added.

Omar previously worked as Controller and CFO for Foley Family Wines in Napa, CA. Since joining Don Sebastiani & Sons in 2017, he has been pivotal in cementing Don Sebastiani & Sons path for continued success as one of the few remaining family-owned wine businesses.

Omar holds a degree in finance from San Francisco State University and resides in Windsor with his family.
