HD EXPO 2016: INDUSTRY’S MOST INFLUENTIAL HOSPITALITY DESIGN SHOW CELEBRATES ITS 25th ANNIVERSARY
One of the world’s leading and most recognized hospitality-focused trade shows and conferences, HD Expo, has announced the launch of its exhibitor, attendee and media registration for HD Expo 2016: A Higher Degree of Hospitality, a monumental year for HD Expo as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The show will take place May 4–6, 2016 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
HD Expo saw record-breaking attendance and exhibitor figures in 2015, with a final tally of 10,260 registered attendees, marking a 10% increase from the previous year, and 255,200 square feet of booth space (also an increase from 2015).
Produced by Emerald Expositions and presented by Hospitality Design magazine, HD Expo provides the ultimate platform over a series of three action-packed days to unite hospitality professionals from around the world in one location to explore the latest and most innovative products and services from global manufacturers—many of which are unveiled for the first time at the show—and listen to the compelling and informative conference sessions with both industry veterans and rising stars, curated by the Hospitality Design magazine editorial staff.
To celebrate turning 25, HD Expo will be featuring an exciting line up of new events and panel discussions for both attendees and exhibitors to take advantage of. Some highlights include:
Rollick Hotel
Stop by booth (#34255) to see one of the newest concepts in mobile hotel rooms as it comes to life on the show floor. Rooms can be configured on a property for a day or a year before they are moved to the next needed location. Step inside and see the future of hotels unfold.
Those Were the Days: Veterans Weigh In
What better way to celebrate our silver anniversary then to bring together industry icons Michael Bedner, HBA; Adam D. Tihany, Tihany Design; David Beer, BBG-BBGM (now HOK); and Tony Chi, tonychi, for the show’s opening session, a casual, spirited conversation about the way doing business has changed, and how it hasn’t.
Owners’ Roundtable
The signature event of HD Expo where attendees get to meet face to face with more than 35 of the owners, developers, brand executives, and decision makers from the most significant hotel companies in the hospitality design industry. The concept: each speaker hosts a table discussing new projects and development pipelines and then rotates every 10 minutes, offering guests the opportunity to engage with multiple experts in a fast-paced and lively format.
The Social Hub
Envisioned by Andrew Alford, the designer behind Graduate Hotels, the Social Hub is a great place to stop, sit, and network. While you’re there, you can listen to HD Conversations, where Hospitality Design magazine engage in casual conversations with hotel brand executives and designers about of-the-moment topics. HD Expo 2016 App
HD Expo is offering a new app this year, which is available to download in the Apple store. The full conference schedule is available on the app as well as speaker bios and the floor plan to help exhibitors and attendees navigate their way through Mandalay Bay and all the exciting panel discussions offered each day at the show.
DNG Mosaic Design Competition
The DNG Mosaic Design Competition is headed to Las Vegas. Artaic and Bostik, a world leader in specialty adhesives and installation systems for building construction, are taking the tile design sector’s hottest annual contest to HD Expo 2016. The Design ‘N Gather Competition invites designers to pick up new tools and become a digital mosaic artist.
