Water Grill, the premier seafood destination of Southern California, owned by King’s Seafood Company, has named Damon Gordon Culinary Director of all Water Grill locations.

Introducing Water Grill’s Culinary DirectorDamon joined Water Grill in 2012 as Executive Chef of the multi-million-dollar revamp of the original Downtown Los Angeles location before opening Water Grill’s second location in Santa Monica. An alumni of Food Network’s “CHOPPED,” Damon’s resume includes Damon Gordon’s Quarter Kitchen at The Ivy Hotel (San Diego), Ono at the Hotel Gansevoort (New York), and Mix (New York), a joint venture between Alain Ducasse and Jeffery Chodorow.

Aligned with King’s Seafood Company’s commitment to serving sustainable seafood, Damon is fiercely committed to the cause. This charming British chef’s culinary style is inspired by the season and is dictated by the evolving seafood landscape in Southern California.

Water Grill has earned the reputation as a launching pad for Los Angeles’s most beloved Chefs including Michael Cimarusti (Providence, Connie + Ted’s) and David LeFevre (MB Post).

King’s Seafood Company

Water Grill

Water Grill, Los Angeles’ perennial seafood destination, first opened downtown in the historic Pacific Building in 1989, offering pristine and seasonal seafood cuisine. Water Grill received an extensive $1.5 million renovation in early 2012 which saw a casualization of the dining room, kitchen and bar while maintaining the restaurant’s unparalleled dedication to serving premium food. In August of 2013, Water Grill opened its second location, offering open views of the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica. The daily menus feature an extensive oyster and raw bar selection and sampling of the freshest seasonal seafood available in Southern California, paired with an extensive wine list, artisanal cocktails, and seasonal sides.
