Kids Eat Free

Kids Eat FreeUpgrade your kids’ dishes at Eataly — for free! From January 16-18, join in a new program of classes designed just for kids, then take your bambini to eat for free in all of our full-service restaurants!

For the long holiday weekend only, kids eat free at all of our full-service restaurants at Eataly Chicago, including Baffo Ristorante, our “casual yet elegant” restaurant located at 44 East Grand! Purchase any lunch or dinner entree in our restaurants and we’ll let your bambini (12 years or under) choose a dish for themselves.

For your picky eaters, it could be as simple as fettucine with butter and Grana Padano, or upgrade your kids’ palate and have them try something else from our everyday menu, like the Polenta from La Birreria, our brewpub.

Kids Eat FreeIn the restaurants, when an adult purchases an entree, up to 2 kids can choose from a list of “kid-friendly” dishes. For your picky eaters, it could be as simple as fettucine with butter and Grana Padano, or upgrade your kids’ palate and have them try something else from our everyday menu like Mezzo Pollo in La Birreria, a half rotisserie chicken with fire-roasted potatoes.

Our new series of cooking classes for kids is called Kids’ Kitchen, a full program at La Scuola, our cooking school, designed to empower kids ages 6-12 to cook and embrace Italian food and culture. For this weekend, we are offering six complimentary classes throughout the weekend on both Saturday and Sunday.

Founded by Oscar Farinetti, Eataly is the largest artisanal Italian food and wine marketplace in the world. From the opening of the first location in Turin in 2007, the philosophy “Eat. Shop. Learn.” has spread to the rest of the world. At Eataly Chicago, which totals 63,000 square feet on two floors, it is possible to purchase high-quality food and drink at accessible prices. Consumers can experiment with new combinations of flavors at the various restaurants throughout the marketplace before learning more about Mediterranean culture with educational courses on food, wine, and nutrition. The Chicago location opened in December 2013. Eataly New York and Chicago are a product of the collaboration between Oscar Farinetti and his American partners Mario Batali, Joe and Lidia Bastianich, and Adam and Alex Saper.
