Maglio & Company announces their Glendale, Wisconsin facility has been organic certified by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), a USDA-accredited organic certifying agency and trade association located in Santa Cruz, California.
The current product scope of Maglio’s certification includes grape, roma, and round tomatoes. An organic system plan has been put into place to ensure organic product integrity as required by the National Organic Program.
“We are seeing a consistent demand for certain organic tomato items in our market,” said Sam Maglio, President of Maglio & Company. “With the tomato handling systems we currently have in place, the added organic component was the right move for us. Our customers already know they can depend on our conventional tomato program for quality and availability, and we are now positioned to meet the needs of a wider customer base.”
