Ralph’s on the Park Stands with Two Icons for Favorite Fine Dining Restaurant

Sandwiched between two legendary New Orleans restaurants, Ralph’s on the Park recently took the second highest honors in New Orleans Magazine’s annual “Tops of the Town” awards featured in the January 2012 issue. The Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group City Park gem was named a favorite fine dining restaurant among readers, right in the middle of two New Orleans stars of culinary history, Commander’s Palace, and Galatoire’s Restaurant. Open just nine years, Ralph’s on the Park has quickly made a name for itself next to two icons with 239 years of culinary tradition between them.

True to the region, all three restaurants embrace Crèole New Orleans cooking and are known for their use of local ingredients; yet, Ralph’s on the Park has set itself apart by applying global influence to the menu. Tucked into a charming cream-colored structure dating back to 1860, Ralph’s on the Park stands at the entrance to New Orleans’ grand City Park. Chef Chip Flanagan has cultivated an inviting menu that puts a sophisticated spin on New Orleans classics and comfort foods while also blending in slightly more exotic dishes utilizing the freshest local ingredients available. Elements including Wild Mushrooms, Wasabi, Miso and Cous Cous are right at home on the menu alongside down-home Crawfish Boil New Potatoes, Boudin Balls, and the iconic Turtle Soup finished with Sherry.

Ralph’s on the Park, along with sister restaurants Red Fish Grill, café b, Heritage Grill, and Café NOMA, Jazz Kitchen® and Ralph Brennan Catering & Events, is part of the “NOLA bred, NOLA fed,” Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group – whose president, Ralph Brennan, is leading the next generation of New Orleans’ favorite family of restaurateurs.
