First Red O outside of its California home-base slated to open in Summer of 2017

METROPOLITAN MIAMI FURTHERS ITS CULINARY COLLECTION WITH THE ADDITION OF RED O TO MET SQUAREMDM Development LLC announced today that it has signed a lease with Red O, a world-class-relaxed  destination resort environment  that provides distinctive Latin-Mexican inspired exquisite cuisine and discerning service in a lively, sophisticated setting.

The first Red O location outside of its California home, the highly acclaimed restaurant will belocated on the ground floor of Metropolitan Miami’s Met Square, which is currently under development and located at 340 SE 3rd St.

The 7,000 sq ft square-foot facility will feature in-door as well as outdoor patio seating, along with an expansive and polished bar and lounge area. It is slated to open in the summer of 2017.

Red O’s unique cuisine is a distinctive blend of authentic and seductive Latin and Mexican Flavors with a blend of world class steak and seafood. Culinary Director Rick Bayless, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Master Chef and his team helped launch the highly acclaimed Red O in May 2010 in Los Angeles, California. Red O’s neighbors at the MET will include, Novikov, Daniel Boulud and SilverSpot, a 14 screen premium cinema, as well as the elevated JW Marquis Miami and the Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, as well as fine dining venues including Zuma and Il Gabbiano, which are only a few steps away.

The Met as a whole is comprised of Met 1, a completed and occupied 447-unit, 40-story luxury residential tower with South Florida’s largest depository Wells Fargo branch; a Wells Fargo Center, comprised of a 47-story, 752,000-square-foot Class ‘A’ office tower; the adjoined 41-story, first-to-market JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami; Met 3, inclusive of a 41,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market; an 1,800-space parking garage; and 462 rental apartments currently under construction and the scheduled for completion in 2016. All of the components are complemented by the project’s final phase, Met Square, which will be completed in 2017. Metropolitan Miami’s final phase will consist of more than 1000 residential units, as well as 400 luxury hotel rooms.
