Shauna Evans was born and raised in northern Utah beneath the Wasatch Mountains. From the time she five, she was experimenting in the kitchen, and has been creating recipes for family and friends ever since. Her cooking expertise has won her over 10 recipe contests, including first place nationally with Bombay Butter Chicken for Dream Dinners.

Shauna graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. Shauna is a certified personal trainer and road runner, and continues her nursing education in subjects regarding nutrition, exercise, and overall good health. She married Joe Evans, BYU back-up quarterback to Ty Detmer, in 1992. They have five active, accomplished children.
