Richardo’s Decaf Coffee Liqueur Named Best Coffee Liqueur 2016 at World Liqueur Awards Latest Win Marks Fourth International Award for Locally Made Liqueur
Richardo’s Decaf Coffee Liqueur, an award-winning coffee liqueur made with naturally decaffeinated coffee, pure vanilla and neutral grain spirits, was named Best Coffee Liqueur 2016 at the World Liqueur Awards in London, England. This medal is the fourth international award win for Richardo’s, and adds to the lengthy list of accolades for this delicious coffee liqueur, used in cocktails, cooking and baking, and by itself over ice.
“We’re thrilled to have been named best coffee liqueur at the World Liqueur Awards,” said Rick England, founder of Richardo’s and partner at Spirit Hound Distillers in Lyons, Colorado. “To go from making Richardo’s in small batches for friends and family, to teaming with Spirit Hound Distillers and receiving accolades like this is just incredible,” he added.
Richardo’s Decaf Coffee Liqueur is made through a patent-pending process blending neutral grain spirits with England’s signature mix of naturally decaffeinated coffee, vanilla, and other ingredients, then aged for at least 30 days. England started making Richardo’s in small batches in 1986 with his wife Linda, mainly for family and friends. In 2012, he teamed up with Spirit Hound Distillers to take his recipe to production scale while still keeping the rich, creamy and smooth taste of the liqueur intact.
