SPAZZO ITALIAN GRILL & WINE BAR APPOINTS NEW HEAD CHEFSchwartz Brothers Restaurants is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Vigil as head chef at Spazzo Italian Grill & Wine Bar in Redmond, Wash. Vigil brings 10 years of culinary experience to the position.

“Cynthia has a well-rounded background in culinary leadership, an incredible grasp of diverse cuisine and a dedication to customer service,” said Lindsey Schwartz, president and CEO of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. “We are excited to welcome her to this new position where she will continue to thrive and contribute to the Schwartz Brothers Restaurants team.”

Vigil received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of San Luis in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She served in a number of restaurant industry and leadership positions at Le Bon Café in San Luis Potosi, Claim Jumper Restaurants in Redmond, Wash. and Hotel Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico before instructing future chefs at Culinary School Cedva Group and Pealpan Culinary Institute in San Luis Potosi. She served as line cook at Canlis Restaurant in Seattle in 2012, and joined the Schwartz Brothers Restaurant family as sous chef at Daniel’s Broiler-Lake Union in October 2012.
