Prior to joining The St. Regis Mexico City, Huguet served as the executive chef of the acclaimed Estudio Millesime by American Express in Mexico City since 2013, a gastronomic epicenter where he had the opportunity to collaborate welcome to his kitchen some of the most renowned chefs in the world including Joan Roca of the Celler of Can Roca, named the best restaurant in the world in 2013 and 2015 for The 50 Best; Martín Berasategui, recipient of eight Michelin stars; along with the best Mexican chefs including number one, Enrique Olvera, Ricardo Muñoz Zurita, Marta Zepeda, José Manuel Baños, Elena Reygadas, Roberto Solís, Guillermo G. Beristáin and Arturo Fernández. A native of Spain, he was pivotal in the transformation of the gastronomy scene in Madrid, holding executive chef positions at high-profile restaurants such as Palacio de Cibeles, Gasset 75 and Piñera. He began his career in 2001 as a junior sous chef at Pedralbes in Madrid, eventually moving up to chef de partie at Zaldia in Cádiz. Huguet received his formal culinary training at the Hotel School of the Community of Madrid.

Huguet’s first big project will be a pop-up of La Table Krug that promises to surprise the culinary scene of The New York Time’s best destination in 2016. Titled Krug & Chips, the pop-up will be installed for twelve days only at the hotel’s terrace, featuring a refined menu of fish & chips paired Krug Grand Cuvèe. Krug & Chips will open from October 24 to November 6, 2016.
