Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream Rolls into Dallas, TX

November 17th, 2015 –The franchises were sold to local entrepreneur Kelly Hodgson, who will operate a fully-customized Tikiz truck to provide residents, schools, businesses and organizations delicious and refreshing enjoyment year round. The agreement brings the total number of Tikiz franchises sold in the U.S. to 48.

“The appeal of our business model has allowed Tikiz to enjoy rapid, nationwide growth in a short amount of time,” said Brian Tollefson, founder of Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream. “Dallas is a dynamic market that we’re eager to begin serving, and we’re excited about the great potential that exists there for Kelly’s business.”

Like all Tikiz franchises, the Dallas business will feature the Tikiz truck, built from the ground up with numerous custom components to provide a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Based off brand new, heavy-duty, yet fuel efficient Ford truck platforms, all Tikiz trucks share the same, highly visible Hawaiian beach-themed wrap with real, custom surfboard signage, multiple water misters at each end, 20” chrome wheels and custom lighting with strobes, neon colors and steel drum music. The patented “Surv-Board™” dispenser allows customers to create their own fruit syrup creations, while a high-output, battery powered ice shaver provides owners efficient, yet powerful operation.

“Kelly’s Tikiz truck will not only deliver his customers delicious shaved ice and ice cream at virtually any location, it will also provide true community support,” said Tollefson. “In addition to bringing fresh, healthier and delicious treats to people of all ages, the FUNdraiser program will be offered to schools and local organizations who are looking for reputable financial support. It’s an easy and fun way for Tikiz to give back to those we serve.”
The new Tikiz Dallas location is currently in the development process and will begin operations soon.
