Vermont Creamery Wins National and International Awards – Takes Top Honors at American Cheese Society and International Cheese & Dairy Awards

Vermont Creamery, B Corp-Certified makers of consciously crafted artisanal cheese and butter has once again earned national and international acclaim, winning nine International Cheese & Dairy Awards (ICDA) and eight awards at the 39th Annual American Cheese Society (ACS) Awards.

At the American Cheese Society Awards, Vermont Creamery took home a gold medal for Clover Blossom Honey Goat Cheese, Silver medals for St. Albans and Vanilla Crème Fraîche, and Bronze medals for Cilantro Lime Sour Crème, Cultured Butter, Bijou, Classic Goat Cheese and Fire Roasted Onion & Chive Sour Crème. Vermont Creamery was recognized by judges for excellence amongst 1,387 products from 196 entering companies.

The American Cheese Society Judging and Competition, the largest event of its kind for American-made cheeses, took place May 19-20, 2022, at the Huntington Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis campus. Canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the Judging and Competition will be held separately from the Conference in 2022 for the first time. Winners were announced at the 39th ACS Annual Conference, held in Portland, Oregon from July 20-23, 2022. The 2022 event received 1,387 entries in 120 categories.

At ICDA, held this year in Staffordshire, UK, Vermont Creamery won gold awards for its Mascarpone, Classic Sour Cream and Cilantro Lime Sour Cream; silver awards went to Cranberry, Orange and Cinnamon Fresh Goat Cheese, Fire Roasted Onion & Chive Sour Cream, and Bonne Bouche. Bronze awards went to its new Strawberry Spritz goat cheese, Fire Roasted Onion & Chive Sour Cream and Bonne Bouche.

The 125th International Cheese & Dairy Awards was bigger and more international than ever before, featuring over 4,000 entries. The competing classes represented countries from all around the world. All entries were judged in a single day, as 238 experts considered appearance, texture, aroma, and flavor of the cheese, dairy and accompaniments. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Champion accolades were awarded first, before the Supreme Champions were reassessed to find this year’s trophy winners.
