After months of preparation, Walk-On’s Enterprises, the Baton Rouge-based owner and operator of Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, today announced the official launch of its franchising program. The company is seeking qualified franchisees interested in taking ESPN’s “Best Sports Bar in North America” to fertile markets across the Southeastern United States.

“The next logical step in the evolution of Walk-On’s is franchising, and now that we have the people, processes and policies in place, we’re ready to roll,” said Brandon Landry, co-founder of Walk-On’s Enterprises. “Walk-On’s has become an institution in Louisiana, and there’s every reason to believe its success here will translate to neighboring states. Especially in college towns, where we have developed a distinctive niche and a lot of brand equity.”

At the beginning of 2014, Walk-On’s partnered with a leading financial group to expand its footprint further in Louisiana and ultimately beyond the state’s borders. In August, Walk-On’s announced the hiring of new key players to bolster its corporate support team.

Walk-On’s Officially Launches Franchising ProgramThe company also recently announced that it is scouting locations in downtown Baton Rouge for its first Walk-On’s Halfcourt, a scaled-down version of the original that will serve as a model for future development in similar downtown sites and airports, where demand for the concept is building fast.

“It’s an exciting time at Walk-On’s,” said Scott Taylor, president and COO of Walk-On’s Enterprises. “Since we announced our intent to franchise in August, we have been flooded with inquiries from all over the country and abroad. People have approached Brandon for years about franchising, but he refused to move forward until he was certain everything was in place. I’m pleased to say that we’ve gotten our house in order and done our due diligence.”
