West Bay Club, A Grace Bay Resort, Announces New Culinary Concepts For 2014

Innovative Dining Offerings Include Noodles with a Caribbean Twist and the Second Installment of Turks & Caicos Islands’ First Pop-Up Restaurant, Stix

West Bay Club, A Grace Bay Resort, Announces New Culinary Concepts For 2014West Bay Club, a Grace Bay Resort located just three miles from Grace Bay Club on the award-winning Grace Bay Beach, introduced two new culinary offerings, including the property’s signature restaurant concept, Noodle Bar + Kitchen. The announcement marks the first wave of renovations and enhancements for the idyllic 46-suite resort, which was acquired by Grace Bay Resorts in July 2013. The highly-anticipated signature restaurant at West Bay Club represents the latest culinary endeavor by the pioneering hotel group behind the world-renowned Infiniti Bar and Turks & Caicos’ highly successful first pop-up restaurant, Stix, which is making an encore appearance at West Bay Club and will again offer a range of simple yet flavorful cuisine ‘on a stick’.

The property’s existing restaurant, Atlantic Bar & Grill, was re-conceptualized both in design and in food and beverage offerings, and will launch early this year as Noodle Bar + Kitchen, featuring a trending concept and a menu curated specially by Group Director of Food and Beverage, Chef Wolfgang von Wieser. The distinctive menu creatively combines noodles and pasta with uniquely Caribbean flavors and spices. Additional seating and a newly renovated outdoor space allow the restaurant to accommodate up to 80 guests.

The menu offers traditional rice and noodle-based dishes blended with the freshest, local ingredients and global flavors. Highlights include Pickled Summer Vegetables and Orange Sesame Dip, Crispy Honey Chicken with Glass Noodles and Shitake Mushroom and Sesame Broth, Curried Lobster with Rice Noodles, Bean Sprouts, Carrots and Grapefruit, and Five Spiced Roasted Duck Served with Egg Noodles, Bok Choy, and Sour Apple. Rice-based dishes include Malaysian Fried Rice with Dungeness Crab, Crispy Shallots and Chili Wax Egg and Saffron Rice with Chorizo, Black Mussels, Crispy Okra and Oven Roasted Pepper. Guests will delight in distinctive Caribbean flavors, from island coconut and tiger prawns to lobster bolognaise. For dessert, guests can indulge in Warm Date and Orange Pudding with Cinnamon Ice Cream and Rose Water Syrup, Dark and White Chocolate Fondue with organic island fruits and pistachio cookie, and Pineapple Carpaccio with Chocolate Salt, Frozen Yoghurt and Honey Nuts.

“We are thrilled to bring these two new, distinctive dining experiences to West Bay Club as we continue to differentiate Providenciales’s newest luxury boutique hotel,” says Nikheel Advani, Chief Operating Officer & Principal, Grace Bay Resorts. “Our entire culinary team has worked tirelessly to create stand-out menus using the freshest ingredients for an authentic dining experience. The second installment of the Stix pop-up and the introduction of an entirely new noodle and pasta concept are further testaments to how we are constantly seeking ways to provide our guests with new, exciting reasons to return to Turks & Caicos and how here at Grace Bay Resorts we are one step ahead of the latest trends, offering our guests the most current culinary experience available.”

Much like its original outpost at Grace Bay Club in 2012, Stix on West Bay features innovative, hyper-local cuisine complemented by a variety of Rosé wines and creative cocktails in an open-air environment. Guests can enjoy unique food and wine pairings at a 30-foot-long communal table while taking in the sunset on colorful stools directly on the beach. Caribbean music and subtle lighting set the mood for a relaxed and luxurious experience. The variety of savory handmade skewers and sweet treats ‘on a stick’ are ideal for uncomplicated, al fresco dining with family. Menu highlights include Lobster Cocktail on a Stick with Tangy Citrus Aioli and Chili Garlic Crumbs; Grilled Lion Fish with Pickled Carrots and Roasted Coriander Seeds; Jerk Roasted Corn on the Cob; and Spicy Sambal Beef Skewer with Scallions and Rum-Soaked Pineapple.

Grace Bay Resorts is also excited to announce a complimentary shuttle between West Bay Club and Grace Bay Club during dinner hours, so that guests can enjoy the culinary offerings at both resorts.
