Windsor Court Appoints Kent Westmoreland to Head MixologistThe Windsor Court Hotel has appointed Kent Westmoreland to head mixologist.  In this new role, Westmoreland will oversee all of the hotel’s bars including Polo Club Lounge and Cocktail Bar as well as develop menus, implement new marketing strategies and continue to serve some of his favorite concoctions.

Westmoreland’s passion for people and cocktails enables him to get to know his customer and recommend new drink options highlighting his expertise in classic and craft cocktails.  He will work closely with the hotel’s accomplished culinary team to come up with inventive ways to interpret traditional dishes.

“My latest interest is to give long-established cocktails like the Argentina and the Queen’s Cousin the classic status they deserve,” explained Westmoreland.

After launching his career in cocktail concocting in college, Westmoreland spent more than 20 years working at various Fortune 500 companies until he revisited his bartending roots in 2011.  Prior to joining the Windsor Court team in 2013, Westmoreland worked at local New Orleans bars including Bar Uncommon, Mila Restaurant and the Hyatt Regency, in which he mastered his talent for cocktail mixing.

Westmoreland has won multiple cocktail mixing competitions and has participated in the world’s premier cocktail festival, Tales of the Cocktail, both locally and internationally.
