The Collection’s Blanc de Blancs is Honored with a Double Gold Medal

New York, NY, June 29, 2015 – Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs Champagne has received the prestigious 2015 Double Gold Medal at the 35th Annual San Francisco International Wine Competition.

The San Francisco International Wine Competition, now in its 35th year, is one of the most influential wine competitions in the United States.  At this year’s competition, the prestigious panel of judges tasted more than 4,900 wines from around the world.

“We are thrilled that Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs has been recognized with a ‘Double Gold Medal’ by the wine industry’s leading experts,” said Sebastien Besson, CEO of Armand de Brignac Champagne.  “This honor conveys our commitment to purveying the finest in luxury Champagne, and we are proud that Armand de Brignac is recognized at such internationally-recognized competition.”

Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs Champagne is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from a variety of villages in the most thought-after areas of Montagne de Reims & Côte des Blancs.  The wine has a sophisticated nose, hints of green apple, coconut and freshly baked biscuits; the incredibly delicate fruit characteristics are balanced with a solid backbone and strong finish.  Each cuveé of Blanc de Blancs is exceptionally rare as less than five percent of the Champagne’s small annual production is devoted to the varietal.

The collection of Armand de Brignac Champagne was established by the Cattier family, whose storied Champagne house has a rich history of over 250 years.  The portfolio consists of five varietals, including the flagship, Armand de Brignac Brut Gold, Armand de Brignac Rosé, Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs, Armand de Brignac Blanc de Noirs and Armand de Brignac Demi-Sec.  The entire artisanal production process is overseen by a select group of eight people, ensuring each cuvee is exquisitely handled with the utmost care.  The Armand de Brignac collection is available in extremely limited qualities.
