Clement at The Peninsula New York Announces Fall Wine Dinner SeriesThis fall, Clement restaurant at The Peninsula New York will welcome back its annual wine dinner series beginning this October. Taking place in the Color Room of Clement, the hotel’s signature restaurant, the three scheduled events will showcase the talents of some of the world’s most renowned winemakers from the United States and Europe, while guests enjoy the culinary delights of Clement’s contemporary dining experience.

Clement at The Peninsula New York Hosts Fall Wine Dinner Series

The wine dinner series will kick off with its first event this October, with the hotel’s new Executive Chef, Sam Linder serving up a four-course menu utilizing local meat, fish and produce for guests. Those with a passion for fine wines will enjoy sampling five hand-picked wines from three world-renowned vineyards, while learning more about the art of winemaking alongside the brand’s most notable individuals. Together with Clement’s Director of Wine, Jared Fischer, the individuals will share extensive knowledge surrounding each winery’s history and culture while personally guiding guests through the tasting.

The following lineup will take place this fall:

October 6: Soliste Cellars, Sonoma, CA; hosted by Claude Koeberle, Owner

A collaboration between long-time friends Claude Koeberle, a former Three-star Michelin Chef turned winemaker and Donald Plumley, the mission of Soliste Cellars is simple: to craft the best possible Burgundian-style wines. The Soliste wines are precise, focused, high-tone aromatic and vibrant, combining the purity of California fruit with the sensitivity and finesse of Burgundian winemaking, creating wines of great complexities and length.

November 4: Barboursville Vineyards, VA; hosted by Luca Paschina, WinemakerBuilt on the grounds of Barboursville, the home of the 19th Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, James Barbour on an estate of 870 acres, Barboursville Vineyards was founded in 1976 and is the most respected and honored winery in Virginia. Barboursville is known for its terroir-driven, estate-grown fruit with minimal intervention in the cellar, as a result of the vineyard’s 171 acres to vine which combines New World geography with Old World philosophy.

December 2: Allegrini Estates, Valpolicella, Italy; hosted by Marilisa Allegrini, CEOThe area of Valpolicella, one of the most prestigious wine-making regions in Italy, has been dedicated to winemaking since the ancient times. Here, situated in the foothills of Fumane, lies Allegrini Estates, a vineyard named after the adjacent Villa della Torre, an important legacy of the Italian Renaissance which is also part of the Allegrini Estate. Leaders in Valpolicella for more than six generations, the Allegrini family today oversees some 264 acres of vineyards in Valpolicella Classico. Encompassing seven distinct sites, Allegrini vineyards offer a phenomenal range of unique micro-climates, soils and aspects that underscore the potential of world-class winegrowing in this historic region.
