The V Foundation for Cancer Research announced that the fourth annual Victory Ride to Cure Cancer, presented by Braswell Family Farms, previously scheduled for May, will take place on August 28, 2021. The event’s month-long virtual experience preceding the ride, entitled, “MyVictory Month,” will begin in July leading up to ride day. The ride is set to take place at NC State University’s Centennial Campus pending COVID guidelines, with all necessary precautions per state and health officials observed.
“We are so thankful to be able to continue our partnership with the V Foundation through the Victory Ride. The need for funding for cancer research has not changed nor has our commitment to doing our part,” said Trey Braswell, President of Braswell Family Farms. “We love the idea of a ride that’s both virtual and in person, because it really expands the breadth of folks that can join us! We are eggcited to participate in this much anticipated annual tradition!”
During MyVictory Month, participants fundraising for lifesaving research have the flexibility to choose how and when they ride while joining cycling and non-cycling competitions leading up to ride day. Each rider will raise a minimum of $250 for cancer research, with 100% of rider-raised funds benefiting breakthrough cancer research nationwide. The Victory Ride will offer 10-, 30-, 60- and 100-mile distances to accommodate cyclists at any level as well as stationary bikes on-site. Braswell Family Farms will continue to enhance the ride-day experience with breakfast for participants and volunteers and will also be providing hard-boiled eggs to fuel cyclists throughout the course.
During the Reimagined 2020 Victory Ride, over 100 Braswell employees participated and the company plans to continue to grow that number in this year’s hybrid event.
