GENE SIMMONS’ ROCK & BREWS IN EL SEGUNDO TO HOST ROCKTOBERFEST

You don’t need a pair of Lederhosen, just a bona fide love for fun,  German and craft beers to enjoy Rock & Brews ROCKTOBERFEST, shortly ready to open for a month-long engagement at its El Segundo flagship restaurant.

From Saturday, September 22, beginning at high noon through Sunday, October 28, every Thursday through Sunday (weekdays from 5- 11 p.m., Saturday, noon – 11 p.m. and Sundays noon – 8 p.m.), guests can enjoy special menu items such as chicken schnitzel, apple strudel, bratwursts, sausage samplers, and authentic German pretzels. Rock & Brews will also proffer a plentitude of authentic Oktoberfest and craft beers and emceed bier haus games every hour.

Customers can test their “beer bicep” in the stein holding contest, challenge the limits of their liquid-holding capacity in the stein drinking contest (with non-alcoholic beer), bite into the bratwurst eating challenge, or cut loose like a crazy fool in the chicken dance contest. Among the prizes are $20 gift cards to use on future visits, Paulaner gift bags, t-shirts, hats and other beer-related swag.  The Rock & Brews house mix, threaded with classic rock & roll, polka and karaoke sing-alongs will lend a ROCKTOBERFEST flair guaranteed to get customers bobbing and tapping from head to toe – and you never know when Simmons might show up!

Rock & Brews, located in a beach community just south of Los Angeles International Airport, is the first (and flagship) location of a rock & roll and beer inspired dream partnership fronted by KISS front-man Gene Simmons, L.A restaurateur Michael Zislis, and veteran concert promoter Dave Furano. Over 50 craft beers and wineare always available on tap (via state-of-the-art draft systems), along with hundreds more by bottle.

“ROCKTOBERFEST is a great time for everyone, and provides us a perfect opportunity to not only show that we have, literally, hundreds of craft beers to choose from but that we love to creatively incorporate themes that feature special beers within an interactive experience that is as fun as a rock concert,” said Zislis.

In addition to these festivities, Rock & Brews is also producing ROCKTOBERFEST at L.A. Live, hosted by Simmons and Wolfgang Puck, Monday, October 15 through Sunday, October 21. This week-long extravaganza with nightly events and live music will include a kick off charity gala for Wounded Warrior and full-blown Craft Beer Festival finale.
