Hilton Worldwide’s Marc Ehrler Awarded Toque d’ArgentExciting news out of Hilton Worldwide: Marc Ehrler, Master Chef of France and Corporate Chef, Americas, Hilton Worldwide was just awarded the prestigious Toque d’Argent at the MCF Gala dinner in San Diego. The Association des Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, or Master Chefs of France, honored Chef Ehrler with the esteemed Toque d’Argent award of excellence in recognition of his distinguished culinary career.

A native of Antibes, on the French Rivera between Cannes and Nice, Chef Ehrler trained with world-renowned chefs, including Alain Ducasse, Jacques Maximin and Andre Daguin.  His cooking style, a tribute to his native Provence/Italy and influenced by travels in the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia, New York, California and Florida, embraces respect for tradition and simplicity. In addition to the honor of receiving La Toque d’Argent, Chef Ehrler is the only Chef to have received two AAA 5 Diamonds awards for two different restaurants within the same hotel and received the coveted Master Chef of France title in 2002.

La Toque d’Argent was created by Mr. Andre Surmain and was presented for the first time to chef Andre Soltner from Lutece (NYC) in 1967. Each year, the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France vote to elect the chef of the year. This lifetime achievement celebrates a chef’s dedication to his work, his art, his involvement in his community, his charity work and his leadership in cooking education.

After receiving the award, Chef Ehrler will be representing Hilton Worldwide for the first time at the 2016 FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen. As a Grand Tasting Pavilion Exhibitor, Chef Ehrler and his team will showcase Hilton’s food and beverage prowess to 5,000 attendees comprised of media, influencers and consumers as well as share Hilton’s commitment to exceptional dining experiences around the globe.
