MTA ANNOUNCES NEW FOOD AND BEVERAGE TENANTS AT GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL DINING CONCOURSE

MTA Announces New Food and Beverage Tenants at Grand Central Terminal Dining Concourse

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced that five new food tenants are moving into the Dining Concourse at Grand Central Terminal. Veselka and Wonderen Stroopwafel opened last month in the southwest corner of the Dining Concourse. Playa Bowls, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and Joey Bats Cafe are expected to begin construction this Fall.

“Grand Central is an ideal location for tenants, who are key to delivering a world class transit experience,” said Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi. “With the opening of Grand Central Madison earlier this year, having a broad range of tenants is especially important since the Terminal now welcomes Long Island Rail Road customers as well as Metro-North and New York City Transit customers every day.”

“As a lifelong New Yorker, it has always been a dream of mine to open a Veselka location inside Grand Central Terminal,” said Veselka 3rd Generation Owner Jason Birchard. “We could not be more excited to bring our Ukrainian soul food to Midtown. We look forward to sharing our food, that is made with love, to our customers, commuters, and tourists alike.”
