Key design features include:

  • Vintage artwork and objects: Pieces like framed maps of the East Coast and antique rowing oar installations add a residential feel to the space. The wooden oars were found locally by Studio 11 and the client at an antique market, an artistic direction that will continue to carry through to future East Hampton Sandwich Co. locations.

  • A nautical color palette: The fast casual eatery features red bar stools lining a solid oyster-white counter, while the main space is lined by taupe banquettes beneath gentle blue, shiplap walls.

  • Bright, natural light: Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, which is balanced by light emanating from pendants suspended in delicate wooden encasements. Studio 11 created a dropped ceiling for the pendants to hang from, softening the acoustics precipitated by the concrete floors and lofty exposed ceiling.
